Founded in 2014, GTÜ Aviation and Space Society is one of five official EUROAVIA representatives in Turkey.
Our society operates through five active committees: Aviation, Space, Human Resources, EUROAVIA, and Technical.
We regularly organize events, develop new concepts, and play an active role in the international EUROAVIA network.
In 2018, we obtained Prospective Affiliated Society (PAS) status at EMEAC in Istanbul, and in 2019, we organized our first international event, Hot Wings Symposium 2019, thereby advancing to Affiliated Society (AS) Kocaeli status. Subsequently, by successfully holding Hot Wings Symposium
2022, further solidifying our position within the EUROAVIA community.
Our members are recognized for their contributions to EUROAVIA Working Groups and play an active role in shaping the network.
At the international level, our team placed 4th at the Airbus Sloshing Rocket Workshop 2024 and has once again made it into the top 5 finalists this year.

All About Aircrafts
Welcome to the Hotwings 3 Symposium. As we gather to explore the frontiers of aerospace engineering, we turn our focus to one of the most critical challenges of our time: sustainable aviation.
In this session, we will dive deep into the revolution currently taking place under the wings of commercial aircraft. The latest generation of jet engines represents much more than a mechanical upgrade; they are our first line of defense in protecting the Earth’s atmosphere. By leveraging revolutionary materials like ceramic matrix composites and innovative architectures such as the geared turbofan, these engines are breaking new ground in efficiency.
Our speakers will discuss how achieving a 15% to 20% reduction in fuel consumption and emissions is reshaping the industry. We will also explore the critical role of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and how modern propulsion systems are designed to minimize noise pollution, safeguarding both our ecosystems and our communities. Join us to discover how we are not just flying further, but flying smarter to preserve our planet.

Semiha Kibar Hotel has 22 rooms with a capacity of 45 beds, a multipurpose restaurant for 250 people, and a breakfast room for 100 people. Our hotel is 20 minutes from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, 15 minutes from Tuzla Marina, 15 minutes from Pendik high-speed train station, and 10 minutes from Tavşantepe Metro station.
